Putting Your PhD To Work

Students who complete the EdD program, including the field experience, are eligible for a recommendation for district leadership (superintendent) licensure in Kansas and Missouri. See the school's Licensure section for more information about application, applying out-of-state, Kansas licensure exams, FAQs, licensure renewal, and other regulations.

Completion of the Ph.D. program does not necessarily lead to district licensure. To obtain licensure additional courses must be completed during or after completion of the degree program.
