Summary

Michael currently serves as an Assistant Director at the Undergraduate Advising Center at the University of Kansas. He currently oversees the Peer Advisor program, where current undergraduate students go through rigorous training to assist with Summer Orientation and become advisors for students that visit the UAC. He is a first-generation college student and a two-time graduate of KU, earning both his BA in Communication Studies with a minor in Leadership Studies and an MSE in Higher Education Administration. In addition to his role as Assistant Director, Michael currently serves as a chair and co-chair of UAC internal committees focusing on Peer Advisor development and Social Justice respectively. He also served on Staff Senate, University Senate, and was the president of Latinx Faculty and Staff Council.
