Effective Feb. 1, 2019: The Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies is not currently accepting applications for admission to the Ph.D. in educational technology. Individuals interested in educational technology are encouraged to consider alternatives options at KU. Information on other available programs can be found here.


The Ph.D. in educational technology* at the University of Kansas School of Education advances research, theory and practice in the design, development and application of information technology in education. Program graduates typically assume leadership positions as faculty in higher education, researchers or directors of educational technology in schools and in corporate and governmental settings.
