Social & Cultural Studies in Education Degree

M.S.E. in Social & Cultural Studies in Education information: 3 annual application deadlines, holistic admission (no GRE): full-time & part-time options: non-thesis track: 31 credit hours: graduate in 2 years: at the Univesity of Kansas


The academic coursework is designed to develop knowldege on educational policy and social issues.  This knowledge will allow students to think deeply about the nature of educational problems and reform issues.  The coursework portion of the degree is 27 credits (9 three-credit classes).

Capstone Project

Upon competion of 27 graduate credit hours, the student will complete a capstone project under the guidance of their academic advisor.  This project typically takes the form of a website portfolio in which the student displays the curriculum of their learning throughout the coursework.
