Biography —
Dr. Dallas Doane is an associate professor of the practice and director of the master’s programs in higher education administration at the University of Kansas. He earned his Doctor of Education in educational administration and leadership with a specialization in adult and higher education from the University of South Dakota. Prior to joining the KU faculty in 2023, Dallas spent several years as a student affairs practitioner, most recently serving as the director of a federally funded TRIO Student Support Services program.
As the MSE program director, he provides leadership to the Higher Education Graduate Assistant (HEGA) program, placing over 40 students in Student Affairs, Academic Success, and Enrollment Management at the University of Kansas. In spring 2026, he began providing leadership to the online MSE, expected to launch in fall 2027.
Dallas is actively involved with the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), where he was selected as a NASPA Emerging Faculty Leader and on the Advisory Board for NASPA Region IV-W. He was also selected for the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) Emerging Leaders Institute for College Access & Success Professionals, recognizing his commitment to advancing student success and educational opportunity. His teaching revolves around the interconnected areas of law & policy, college access, and program evaluation, with a focus on preparing educational leaders to use evidence-informed practices to expand opportunity and improve student success.
