Biography —
Dr. Jeremy Higgins currently serves as the Associate Superintendent of Human Resources for the Shawnee Mission School District (SMSD), a role he has held since July 1, 2024.
Dr. Higgins began his career in SMSD in 2006 as a chemistry teacher and coach at Shawnee Mission East HS. He later accepted roles as a teacher on assignment, athletic director, and associate principal at Shawnee Mission East HS, associate principal at Shawnee Mission West HS, and principal of Shawnee Mission North HS. Dr. Higgins also served as director of secondary human resources.
Dr. Higgins has a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary chemistry education from Wichita State University, a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Baker University, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Southwestern College.
