Michael Koonce

Michael Koonce, Ed.D., is the Director of Administrative Services for Greenbush, also known as the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center. Since 2020, he has led a consortium that now exceeds 200 Kansas school districts to serve, support, mentor, and coach building and district administrators. He earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas and his master's in Educational Administration from the University of Kansas. He has 23 years of experience in public education ranging from serving as a high school teacher, a school administrator at large elementary and middle schools to serving school districts as a program director through Greenbush. He was published in a 2019 Sage Journal on the topic: "Principal Engagement in the Professional Development Process." He works closely with other Kansas Service Centers, the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE), Federal Programs, and other professional organizations that support educators and administrators.
